Translation is a complicated inter-cultural activity. With the tremendous increase of cultural exchange, to ensure the quality of translation so as to improve the process of cultural communications with foreign countries is becoming more and more important. Especially for the classical literary works such as The Analects of Confucius, it is even more necessary for every translator to comply with an authoritive and fundamental principle of translation because of their special status and influence. Here, I would like to put forward professor Liu Chongde's Trinity Principle to be the fundamental one. To make a further explanation, this paper also gives a comparative study for the three different Confucius and points out their advantages and disadvantages according to this principle English SO as versions of The A nalects to make us get an idea modification for these disadvantages.
