It is the first time that sodalite was synthesized by using nbutylamine as template or structure directing agent in a nonaqueous system of Na 2OSiO 2Al 2O 3EG (ethylene glycol) The physicochemical properties of sodalite assynthesized were characterized by means of XRD, SEM and IR It was shown that the crystallization time of sodalite with nbutylamine as template was much shorter than those of sodalite with other templates
