摘要
当英语离开英国本土来到社会文化、生态环境迥然不同的澳洲之后,它吸纳了诸多的土著语汇和他族词汇,形成类型有别、独具特色的澳大利亚英语,而今已成为现代英语体系中一个重要的地域变体。本文拟从澳大利亚英语形成背景的角度论析其类型特征。
Since it came to Australia, British English absorbed lots of native language, and the words from other languages, developed into Australian English with different kinds and unique features. Nowadays it becomes an important variety of modem English. This paper attempts to analyze the main kinds of Australian English from the angle of the formation backgroud.
