摘要
隐喻在语篇中的意义推进可以发展为"隐喻序列"与"隐喻合并"两种隐喻构型。前者基于由单一的隐喻式所形成的隐喻块内部本体和喻体的各种表征顺序;后者指不同隐喻式之间的本体和喻体的各种对应方式。这两种构型对于隐喻性语篇的组织具有重要意义。
Metaphor progression in discourse can develop into two metaphoric configurations,namely,“metaphoric sequencing” and “metaphoric merging”. The former results from various sequences of Tenor-Vehicle presentation in a metaphoric chunk for a single metaphoric expression, and the latter refers to different pattgrns of Tenor-Vehicle correspondence across two or more metaphoric expressions. Both configurations are devoted to the organization of a metaphoric text.
