A modified equation for estimating enthalpy of vaoporization (CSGC MHW) was developed by using the entropy of vaporization estimated with group method instead of experimental enthalpy of vaporization required in original CSGC HW equation. Contribution values of 75 groups were obtained by correlating 1379 experimental data of enthalpy of vaporization of 480 substances including saturated hydrocarbons, unsaturated hydrocarbons, cyclohydrocarbons, aromatics, oxygen compounds, sulfocompounds, nitrogen compounds, halohydrocarbons et al. In the CSGC MHW equation the experimental data of normal boiling point are only required for accurately predicting enthalpie of vaporization of various compounds at the different temperatures.
