摘要
1919-1920年发生的京教职员风潮,是一场政府欠薪、教职员索薪的运动,在当时并不算什么惊天动地的事情。由于政府处置失当,颇遭社会各界诟病。虽然这次风潮很快平息了,但其影响尚不至此止。从教育发展的角度看,其既是谋教育经费独立的先声,也是中国教育由传统向现代转型过程中里程碑式的篇章,意义重大。
