摘要
弗莱克斯纳所著的《现代大学论——美英德大学研究》是高等教育名著之一。具体分析在该书中弗莱克斯纳对美国大学的批判,认为弗莱克斯纳对美国大学的一些教学制度的批判稍显苛刻,但在关于大学定位、大学研究职能以及大学的服务职能上的观点都有可借鉴之处。弗莱克斯纳在现代大学论——美英德大学研究中所提出的多种做法及理念都应该在中国大学的发展中予以借鉴。
Universities ： American, England, Germany written by Flexner is one of the famous works about high education. Based on the analysis to the critique Abraham Flexner gave to the American universities, this paper holds that the critique of Abraham Flexner is a little harsh, but there are many points we can learn about, such as the university＇s localization, the function of research and service of universities, the differences between profession and occupation. Chinese universities are facing lots of problems and should learn some concepts from Flexner＇s ideas in this book.
