摘要
运用渐近转移矩阵公式,研究了一种保持圆偏振态单模蜘蛛网结构包层空芯光纤。数值结果表明:由于这种包层结构能把导波强有力的束缚在空芯中传输,光纤具有很低的束缚损耗;即使利用有损耗的材料,也能获得约1 dB/km、甚至低于1 dB/km的传输损耗。
A hollow-core and cobweb-structured cladding Bragg fiber that supports circular-polarization-maintaining single mode is presented. The confinement losses and transmission losses of the fibers are analyzed by using an asymptotic matrix. The calculatged results show that due to the cladding structure which strongly confines the guided wave inside the hollow core,with only six alternating layers and using lossy materials,the transmission losses of TEol mode at 0. 65 /μm using a plastic fiber(PMMA) are reduced to a level below 0.08 dB/km,and those at 1.3/μm and 1.55/μm using a soft glass(SF6) are reduced to a level below 1.1 clB/km and 0.9 dB/km,respectively. Moreover,the single mode for hollow-core Bragg fi bers is discussed. The fibers open up the possibilities for a new type of gyroscopes,current sensors and coherent communica tion systems.
