摘要
文化植根于环境,越文化特色的形成是这个地区"西则迫江,东则薄海"特殊的自然环境决定的。越地古老的水利工程建设是越文化孕育的土壤,发达的渔业捕捞文化是越地水文化的表征,先进的造船航海业使越人成为富有冒险开拓精神的民族。水利和海洋文化孕育了越文化的与水共生的特色,集中表现为经济生产领域中高度发达的稻作文化、水利文化、航海文化;日常生活领域中的饮食文化、民俗文化;思想政治领域中的开拓精神、灵变谋略;文学艺术领域中发达的山水性灵文化、建筑文化等。
Culture has its root in the environment. Features of the Yue culture are determined by the particular natural environment in which the culture is formed, bordering rivers on the west and the sea on the east. The ancient irrigation works and water conservancy projects give birth to the Yue culture, and the highly developed fishery characterized this water culture. The advanced shipbuilding industry therein made the Yue people a people full of adventure and exploitation. Rivers and the sea made water part and parcel of the Yue culture, which is manifested in rice growing, irrigation works and water conservancy, navigation, in such daily lives as food, folkways or customs, in ideology such as the pioneering spirit, flexibility and tactics, in literature and arts including water inspiration, architecture and more.
