摘要
雅思IELTS考试已成为希望赴英澳留学学生需要面对的重要英语水平测试,而大学英语教学内容主要是英语四六级为评价标准。为了促进出国教育中的雅思基础教学,笔者自建雅思与六级阅读材料的小型语料库,并采用语料分析的新手段对两种语料进行了词汇及文体方面的比较分析,为个人利用自建小型语料库进行语言研究提供了有益的尝试。
IELTS test has now become an important language competence test for students planning to further their studies in Britain and Australia; however college English teaching mostly aims at College English Test （CET）. To foster effective teaching for IELTS takers, the author has built a small corpus of IELTS and CET reading materials. This paper makes a comparative study of IELTS and CET6 reading materials by adopting new methods of corpus analysis, focusing on the lexical and genre analysis of the two tests.
