摘要
《中国文法要略》是我国语言学界的一代宗师吕叔湘先生的成名之作和主要的学术著作之一。本文联系我国语言研究现状,从三个方面论述了该书取得巨大成功的原因,认为该书的成功主要是由于有效地实行了中西结合、虚实结合以及语言比较法的缘故;笔者希望这三点可以为我国的语言研究提供有益的启示。
With a view to providing some inspiration for linguistic studies in today's China, this paper discusses how Essentials of Chinese Grammar by Lü Shuxiang has made a great success, believing that the main reasons for its success lie in its effective adaptation of Western linguistic theories and methodologies to the study of Chinese, its adequate handling of the relationship between linguistic theories and data and its adoption of a contrastive approach to language studies.
