不止是沉默——神经元限制性沉默因子及其作用元件的研究进展 被引量:2

摘要 神经元限制性沉默因子(neuron-restrictive silencer factor,NRSF;又称repressor element silencing transcription factor,REST)是一种锌指(zincfinger)蛋白,它能与某些基因中相应的神经元限制性沉默元件(neuron-restrictive silencer element,NRSE;又称repressor element-1,RE-1)相结合,使序列中的组蛋白发生去乙酰化,从而对某些神经性基因的表达发挥阻遏作用。随着研究的深入,人们发现NRSF-NRSE在神经发育过程中有着复杂的调控功能,这主要是由于NRSF/NRST蛋白及REST辅助蛋白(CoREST)介导的甲基化作用,NRSF蛋白转录后形成的一系列剪切体也可能参与其中。另外,NRSF及其不同的剪切体还与一些神经系统疾病和肿瘤的发生密切相关。深入研究NRSF的调控机制对于进一步了解一些神经系统疾病的发生有着重要意义。
