摘要
本文先从社会学的视角,以分类和分层一纵一横两个维度界定高校发展定位;然后在分析我国高等教育外部环境和系统自身变化情况的基础上,指出在我国高等教育向大众化过渡阶段,高校发展定位的战略性问题是学校类型选择;接着分析了资源与高校发展定位的关系,建议高校在学校类型定位上采用资源依附状况分析办法;最后分析了同类高校中既竞争又合作的关系,还对我国高校定位中的“特色情结”做了简要分析。
The thesis first defines the identification of higher education institutions (HEIs) using a classification-stratification coordinate framework. Based on the analysis of the changes higher education system and its surroundings, the article argues that classification-choosing is the key issue for an HEI during the transitional period towards mass higher education. The article then discusses the connection between institutional development and its present and potential resources, and recommends HEI to analyse its conditions of resource-reliance when deciding its institutional identification. Finally, the article explores the relationship of competition and cooperation among HEIs of similar status and the issue of "unique identification syndrome" for HEIs.
