摘要
作为语法学术语,“句型”一词可指句子的结构类型,这一认识有利于建立仅限于汉英翻译过程中句型转换的根本原则,即:参照英语基本句型亦将汉语句型划分为五种基本类型,以利于构建英语译句。已有的实际译例也可说明这一原则的可操作性。作为只是利于汉英翻译转换的权宜之计,该原则并不与现行汉语语言研究的本体范畴相抵触。
As a grammatical term, ＂ sentence pattern＂ can be defined in terms of sentence structure. This argument may lead to a general principle for sentence pattern transformation during the process of Chinese - English translation, namely, to divide Chinese sentences into 5 same basic patterns as English so as to facilitate the construction of English translations, which can find its application in existing specific translations. Being just an expedient to facilitate Chinese - English translation, the principle is not supposed to contradict the present Chinese studies.
