摘要
透明颤菌(Vitreoscila)血红蛋白(VHb)是一种氧调节、氧结合蛋白。其基因(vgb)已被克隆及表达。vgb基因表达在转录水平上受氧控制,FNR蛋白作为厌氧激活子介入该调节过程。VHb可与氧结合参与细胞代谢过程,使细胞适应贫氧环境。
Vitreoscilla hemoglobin (VHb) was the first bacterial hemoglobin to be cloned, sequenced and expressed. Its expression is regulated by oxygen at the level of transcription, FNR acts as an activator responsing the oxygen-limited condition. The cellular VHb raises the ATP productivity enable the organism to survive in poor oxygen environments. The mechanism of gene regulation and physiological function of VHb gene are discussed and the potential application of VHb has also been reviewed.
