摘要 英语个性化学习(individualized learning)是教育部2004年1月颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求》的中心内容。要使这个文件的精神得到贯彻落实,除了教师、教材、教学设施和模式等要与教学改革同步外,还有一个决定性的因素:学生应具备英语个性化学习的意识和能力。缺少了后者,大学英语个性化学习同样无法开展。相关研究表明,从应试教育的重负下走进大学的中国学生,很少具有个性化学习的意识和能力。如何在大一尽快转变新生学习观念,逐步培养新生英语个性化学习的意识和能力,使他们能在以后的英语学习中循着正确的路径发展,是大学英语教师面对新生要解决的迫切课题。本文结合05级新生的教学实践,试图将作者在这一领域所作的探讨进行阐释,以引起同行的关注和思考。 Individualized learning is the core of the requirements of the College English curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education in March 2004. To implement the document, college students' individualized learning awareness and ability is one of the decisive factors, without which it would be impossible to reach the aim. Related researches, however, show that Chinese students entering college by the strict exam system seldom have such a quality. It is urgent to foster freshmen's individualized learning awareness and ability in a short period of time. Based on the author's teaching practice in Grade 2005, the writing attempts to analyze the freshmen's major problems in college English learning and explore some practicable strategies on how to cultivate freshmen's individualized learning awareness and ability.
