Overexpression of the matrix metalloproteinases-9 gene in gastric carcinoma

摘要 目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶-9(MMP-9)基因在胃癌中的表达及其与临床病理因素之间的关系。方法采用免疫组织化学SP法检测97例胃癌组织及89例癌旁组织中MMP-9的表达。结果10例(11.2%)癌旁组织、80例(82.5%)胃癌组织表达MMP-9,差异有统计学意义(P=0.000)。MMP-9蛋白的过量表达与患者性别、肿瘤分级、分化和淋巴结转移无相关性,与肿瘤浸润深度、肿瘤分期存在相关性(P<0.05)。结论MMP-9蛋白在胃癌中过量表达与胃癌的发生发展密切相关,可以作为胃癌的预后判断标准之一。 Objective To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9) gene in gastric carcinoma(GC) and their relationship to clinicopathological factors. Methods Immunohistochemical staining SP method was used to detect the expression of MMP-9 in 97 cases of GC and 89 of paracarcinoma gastric mucosa tissue. Results The positive rate of MMP-9 expression was 11.2% (10/89) in paracarcinoma gastric mucosa and 82.5 % (80/97) in GC specimens. There was significant difference between them (P = 0. 000 ). The expression of MMP-9 in GC was not correlated with the gender of patients, tumor differentiation, histological type and lymph node metastasis, but significantly associated with the depth of tumor invasinon and TNM staging. Conclusion Overexpression of MMP-9 protein may play an important role in carcinogenesis and progession of gastric carcinoma. Detection of the overexpression of MMP-9 might be served as an indicator for evaluating prognosis in gastric carcinoma.
