作为邓小平外交思想的一个重要组成部分，睦邻外交思想指导我国的对外工作取得了巨大成就：我国同周边各国的睦邻友好关系处于建国以来的最好时期，同周边各国的友好往来进一步加强，我国在亚太地区和全世界的国际影响进一步扩大，我国的国际地位不断提高。正因为如此，邓小平睦邻外交思想这一话题越来越引起学术界的关注。
The question of Deng Xiaoping＇s neighborly diplomatic thoughts and the regional cooperation in eastern Asia had been researched on the backgrounds and their main contents, as well as the important meaning. Apart from that, the relations between Deng Xiaoping＇s neighborly foreign thoughts and the Chinese traditional culture, especially the ＂He＂ in confucian culture, should be probed. And the fact that the pure civilian intercourse, together with the official diplomacy, is an important part of Deng Xiaoping＇s neighborly foreign thoughts that should get acceptance accordingly.
