Socket缓冲区回收利用的网络性能研究

摘要 Socket缓冲区是Linux操作系统中的网络传输基本单位,在目前的Linux网络性能研究中,Socket缓冲区的回收利用尚未引起足够的重视。通过定义可回收利用Socket缓冲区的原语,并在NIC设备驱动程序中予以实现。实验表明,Socket缓冲区回收利用的方法可有效改善Linux网络性能。 Socket buffer is the basic transfer unit in Linux operating system, but its recycling has not been paid enough attention the study on Linux network performance at present. In this paper,the primitives of recycling socket buffer are defined and implemented m NIC device driver. Test shows that the method of recycling socket buffer can improve the Lmux network performance efficiently.
