摘要
地理现象的分形研究是地理学发展的新方向．文章借助于大量的中外文文献，既全面又有所侧重地介绍了分形理论在地理研究中应用的基本状况及有关成果．并结合作者本人的研究体会预测了其发展前景．
The new way of geography development is to study geographical phenomena with fractal theory. Many scholars in China and other countries have achieved a lot if results in this field. In the paper,the present situation of the fractal studies on geographical system is traced or recounted by means of a large quantity of literature and finally,a prediction is given on the future of fractal studies in geographical domain.
