摘要
通过对英汉寒暄语的对比分析发现,尽管它们都在各自的语言中执行相应的功能,但二者的基本形式与内容有着较大差异。这里着重分析了文化上深层次的原因,并指出翻译时,在遵循“功能对等”的前提下,应针对不同的表达形式,分别采取“直译”(形式对应)和“改译”(功能对应)两种策略。
English and Chinese phatic communion perform similar role in the two languages, however, their forms and contents are quite different. Therefore the causes of this difference are culturally analyzed ; And some translation strategies are put forward here according to Nida＇s translation theory.
