Yunbiao, the record of homophones composed by Ye Bingiing of Qu Zhou (衢州), Zhejiang Province in the late period of Ming dynasty, takes an important position in the study of phonology in Ming and Qing Dynasty and has aroused some scholars' interests. However, the changing from voiced rising tone to falling - rising tone in Yunbiao hasn't been paid enough attention to, especially the value in dialect tone. After a complete research and observation, the words that can be read in both voiced rising tone (浊上) and fallingrising tone (浊上) are found to be a kind of diachronic change illustrated by synchronic phenomenon and can be explained by the theory of vocabulary pervasion. Such finding can prove that the late period of Ming dynasty witnessed the process of the changing from voiced ascending to descending, which just confirms dialectal characteristic of Qu Zhou. And the fact that there are not a large number of changed words implicates that such kind of change is still in its early period.
