摘要
2008年奥运会帆船帆板比赛期间正值青岛的主汛期,天气复杂多变,气象保障任务繁重。利用青岛市区3个气象站和奥帆赛场附近的自动站资料,统计分析了可能对奥帆赛产生影响的天气出现概率,指出影响奥帆赛的天气主要是强降雨、雷暴和热带气旋,做好这3种天气的准确预报对保障好比赛至关重要。此外,重点分析了对风帆运动有显著影响的风的基本特征,指出由于不同的地理环境和地势,以及一日中不同的时段风的差异都比较明显,得出午后至傍晚期间风速较大,且风向稳定,比赛选在此时更有利的结论。
The 2008 Olympic sailing race will be held in Qingdao in August when it is right in the main flood season. Various kinds of weather which can influence the race occur frequently, such as the thunderstorm, the tropical cyclone and dense fog etc, and even the light wind which can＇t drive the sailing boat is a disadvantage. Whether or not the race will be held successfully depends on weather conditions significantly. The climate on the nearby area of the Olympic race venue is statistically analyzed by using data obtained from weather stations and automatic stations adjacent to the Olympic race venue. The main results are shown as the followings. On average, in August, the number of days of precipitation that exceeds 25 mm is 1.9 with the maximum of more than 6 days in some years; the number of thunderstorms days is 4.2 with maximum of 10 days; tropical cyclone occurs once in Qingdao every 4--5 years and it could last for 1--2 days. The results indicate that can influence the race are primarily the strong precipitations, the thunderstorms and the tropical cyclones. Therefore, it is very important to make accurate prediction for these three kinds of weather phenomena. Moreover, the fundamental characteristics of the winds which have significant effects on the sail movement are analyzed, and it is pointed out that because of the differences in the geographical environment, the topography, and even in the different time intervals of a day the wind variability is pretty obvious. Generally speaking, big wind occurs during noon to afternoon and the extremum occurs in 12：00 to 13：00, the average wind speed is stronger than 3 m/s, at the same time the wind changes its direction in the range of 10 to 15 degrees. Given the above facts, the period from noon to nightfall is more favorable for the sailing race.
