On Non-intelligent Elements and Oral English Teaching in College

摘要 在影响大学英语口语教学的诸多因素中,学生的非智力因素起着十分重要的作用。通过对非英语专业本科生进行的调查分析,研究了如何在口语教学中运用非智力因素调动学生的积极性,提出了激励学生学习口语的动机、帮助学生控制消极的情感因素和发展积极的情感因素等对策,提升学生的参与意识,从而取得良好的口语教学效果。 The non-intelligence elements of college students play a very important role in developing their oral English teaching in college. According to the survey oriented to college students of non-English majors, the paper suggests how to arouse the students' enthusiasm by means of non-intelligent elements. The authors also propose counter-measures regarding stimulating students' motivation and controlling the negative emotions and developing positive ones for oral English development. College students' sense of participation in oral English acquisition should be encouraged and then they can achieve good performance in this field.
