摘要
甲午战争时期,中国历史上第一次出现了以救助战争伤兵和难民为宗旨的国际性红十字会组织,它以红十字会医院为代表,主要分布于营口、烟台、天津等地。这些红十字会医院都是由在华的西方人士(包括传教士、外交官、商人、军人)组织创办和领导的。它们对当时战地的中国伤兵和难民的救助起到了关键的作用,因此受到了中国社会各界的支持和认同。同时,西方现代性质的红十字会组织在中国的出现,对于中国传统和近代慈善事业的发展也具有重要的转折性意义。
Red Cross Society organizations taking succour of war wounded soldiers and refugees as the aim appeared during Jiawu-War for the first time in Chinese history. They were mainly distributed in Yingkou , Yantai , Tianjin and other places represented by the Red Cross Hospital. These Hospitals were established and led by western people in China （missionaries, diplomats, businessmen, soldiers）. They played a key role in succouring the Chinese wounded soldiers and refugees in the battlefield at that time, supported and recognized by Chinese various circles of society. Meanwhile, the appearance of Red Cross organizations with western modem property had important turning meanings to the development of Chinese traditional and modem charities.
