大学教育的目的（一） 被引量：8

摘要 大学教育问题是一个公众十分关注的问题。关于大学教育的目标是什么、什么是研究型大学，如何检验教育的水准，以及一流大学的标志等，是当前社会各界议论较多的话题。本刊特请长期在海外学习和工作的时东陆教授撰文，谈谈西方大学和学院的概念，介绍英美大学的结构、理念等，并分析中国大学的现状、特点和问题。本文将分两期刊出，本期为第一篇，主要介绍大学和学院的起源．以及西方大学的概况：下期刊出的第二篇将涉及对21世纪中国大学的看法。
