摘要
介绍了刘仲德教授提出的“信、达、切”的翻译标准,讨论了其对科技论文摘要翻译的适用性,指出了科技论文摘要翻译中存在的“失信”、“欠达”和“不切”等现象。
This paper first discusses the translation criteria of ＂faithfulness, smoothness and closeness＂ proposed by professor Liu Zhongde and its adaptation to the translation of academic abstracts, then pointes out some problems existing in nowadays academic abstracts translation. Suggestions to improve abstract translation are also given.
