大江健三郎在此前48年的创作生涯中,形成了作为一个世界著名作家的独特风格。他的很多小说都有强烈的自传色彩,或者取材于自己的生活,或者有家人朋友的影子,因而更令人瞩目;由于从小生活在日本农村,熟悉日本的方言俚语,而后来又深受法国语言文学的影响,因此大江小说的语言呈现出“和洋合璧”的奇妙色彩;同样由于深受法国作家萨特等人的影响,大江小说惯用象征的手法,从小说标题、故事情节到主人公姓名,常常有强烈的象征意义;大江小说的结构迥异于传统小说所强调的前后照应、脉络清晰,情节场面的跳跃很大,因而也比较费解。
Ooe Kennzaburou formed a unique style as a famous writer in the world in his profession of letters during 48 years before. Most of his novels are full of intense color of biography. Some of them are accessed from his own life; some are permeated with the shadow of his family and friends. So they have been always hit the headlines. Ooe lived in the countryside in Japan when he was a child. He was quiet familiar with the dialect and slang of Japan and also he was deeply affected by the French language of literature later. So the language in Ooe's novel presents the fantastic color of occident. Deeply affected by the French writer Sartre and others as well, Ooe gets used to using symbolism. From the title, storyline to dramatis personae's name of the novel, all of them are full of strong symbolism. The structure of Ooe's novel is different from the traditional one, which stresses the echo between beginning and ending and clear skeleton. His novel deals with a great leap in plot and scene, so it is much inexplicable.
