摘要
不同种类昆虫的寿命长短相差悬殊,一般为7天到17年．研究表明：温度是影响昆虫生命周期的重要生态因子,通常随温度的增高昆虫所需的发育时间会明显缩短,在适宜的温度内温度越低,昆虫平均寿命越长；同类昆虫分布于东洋界的寿命通常短于分布于古北界的；昆虫的寿命通常表现为雌性长于雄性,昆虫的交配生殖与其寿命均有显著的相关性,参与交配与生殖能力越强的寿命越长．
The life spans of different kinds of insects are extremely different from each other, which, generally speaking , are from seven ds to seventeen as. According to research, temperature is an important ecological factor that affects insects＂ life cycle. With the temperature increasing, the growth time that insects need will obviously be shortened. Within convenient temperature, the lower temperature is, the longer average life span of insects is; the life span of the same kind of insects in oriental realm is shorter than in palaeoarctic realm; The life span of female insects is generally longer than that of male insects. Besides, the mating and generation of insects and the life span of insects have remarkable relativity, the stronger the ability of mating and generation does, the longer the life span of insect is.
