摘要
用雅言这个语词来指称汉民族“共同语”大致是在周代,但雅言所指称的古代民族“共同语”却是一个发展的概念。雅言作为古代“共同语”的代名词已进入辞典,也得到人们的普遍认同。在把雅言作为古代汉民族“共同语”代名词的背景下,雅言当形成于夏朝,发展于商朝,成熟于周朝。从语言发展史的角度看,雅言是我们汉民族共同语的发端,它不仅为汉语言的统一、规范树立了标尺,使汉语言的发展有了一个扎实的基础,而且对提高汉民族的凝聚力、推进汉民族文明的进程都有着深刻的影响。
It was approximately in the slave society of Zhou Dynasty when the 'elegant language' was first used to refer to the common language of the Han nationality.The notion of elegant language has experienced development ever since then.Now the elegant language as another name of ancient common language has been included in some dictionaries and widely accepted.It is assumed that the elegant language formed in the Xia Dynasty,developed in the Shang Dynasty and was identified in the Zhou Dynasty.From the angle of the history of linguistic development,the elegant language as the origin of Chinese common language,has not only provided a gauge for the unification and standardization of Chinese language,but also laid a good foundation for its development.This will produce deep influence on promoting the unity and civilization of the Han people.
