摘要
语法化既涉及语义的演变,也涉及形式的演变。一方面,形式的演变滞后于意义的演变,这是语法化的一条基本规律;另一方面,语义的变化往往带来形式的演变。考察形义匹配的历时变化,是追寻语法化历程的有效途径。本文通过对“要不”语法化过程的考察,尤其通过对“要不”的语形如何适应语义而发生变化的具体分析,说明“省力原则”和“礼貌原则”以及语用推理等各种语用因素在语法化过程中的作用。
Grammaticalization involves changes of both meaning and form. As a basic nile, the change of form lags behind that of meaning, and the change of meaning often results in the change of form. Therefore, it is a useful approach to grammaticalization by examining the diaehronie development of form-meaning mapping. This paper examines the grammatiealization process of yaobu, specifically, how the form of yaobu is adapted to its change of meaning. Its aim is to clarify the roles of such pragmatic factors as the economic principle, the Politeness principle and pragmatic inference.
