摘要
伍拉科特(Woollacott,1982)指出,现代符号学理论已经超越了结构主义者对一个自足的系统内部各部分之间关系的关注,而时常采用马克思主义的方法,重视“意识形态”(ideology)的作用。近年来语言学家在进行语言和语篇分析时也对语言和意识形态之间的关系产生了浓厚的兴趣。本文拟简单谈谈批评语言学中的意识形态观,从中我们可以窥见它对西方马克思主义的继承和发展。
Woollacott（1982） points out that modern semiotic theory has moved beyond the structuralist concern with the internal relations of parts within a self-contained system, and it is sometimes allied with a Marxist approach which tends to stress the role of ideology. In linguistics, discourse analysts are also increasingly interested in the relationships among language, power and ideology. This paper is a brief discussion of the concept of ‘ideology＇ in western Marxism and critical linguistics, from which we may discern an indebtedness of the latter to the former.
