Objective To investigate the change of cellular immune functions during chronic myocardial damage in mice. Methods Mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: viral group I ,toxin + virus group Ⅱ , toxin group Ⅲ and control group Ⅳ. The lmyphocyte subset, IL-2 content and lymphocyte proliferation were observed. Results The chronic myocardial damage was found in group Ⅱ . Seven days after virus infection, the lymphocyte subpopulation,IL-2 content and lymphocyte proliferation ability responsive to CoA stimulation were significantly lower than those in group Ⅲ. After 14 days, the level of above-mentioned three indexes increased in different degrees, but still showed inadequate content compared with the highest level in group I . Conclusions The chronic myocardial damage induced by CVB3m in T-2 infected mice might be related to the down-regulation of lymphocyte number, function, activity and abnormal cellular immune function and delay the onset of disease and encumber the early elimination to virus and infected cells.
