摘要
知识分子的精神特质是衡量知识分子真义的内在尺度。大学与知识分子有着不解之缘。知识分子是大学精神的践履者、体现者和承载者;大学的起源与知识分子的精神诉求密切相关,大学是知识分子的社区,也是知识分子成长的摇篮。知识分子精神与大学精神具有内在的共通性与契合性,集中表现为自由、独立与批判精神。
The spirit character of intellectuals is the internal yardstick of the real intellectuals. There is a close bond between the university and intellectuals. Intellectuals are those who create, embody and shoulder the spirit of university. The origin of university was closely related to the spiritual pursuit of the intellectuals. The university is a community of intellectuals, and the cradle for intellectuals growing up. The spiritual contract between the university and the intellectuals implies that university spirit is commeasurable with the intellectual＇s spirit, and they are usually illustrated as the spirit of freedom, independence and criticism.
