摘要
试图从女性主义翻译理论重点关注的性别切入,揭示传统忠实概念背后的性别隐喻,展现女性主义译者对忠实概念的再度概念化过程,并分析它给翻译研究的认识论和实践论带来的巨大冲击和革新。女性主义的忠实却产生了与之相反的实践效果,交流的困惑提醒女性主义译者思考重新诠释忠实的必要。
From the feminist perspective of gender, the article attempts to explore the gender metaphorics latent in the traditional concept of fidelity so as to identify the whole process of feminist translators＇ re - inter- pretation of fidelity , with a further analysis of the impact and innovation caused by the concept＇s re - defini- tion on both epistemology and practice of translation. Ironically, feminist fidelity runs aganst its application and effect in translation practice. It is the very time for feminist translators to reconsider what fidelity really means to them, since there exist obstacles to smooth communication inside and outside feminist approaches to translation.
