This article mainly introduces operational principles of Pyroelectric Infrared（PIR） sensor and PTI＇s PIR processing chip PT8A26XXP, meanwhile, with their principles and features, this article also shows widely application of PIR sensor and the related chip in safety and protection, energy-saving switch and automatic control field.
