摘要
媒体是传递远程教学信息的重要载体,它的丰富性决定远程教育的教学设计首先必须是媒体的最优化设计。但是,在长期的远程教学实践中,人们对媒体理论的认识却不尽相同,本文试图通过远程教育媒体理论的“要素说”、“辅助说”和“中心说”的具体评价分析,拓展人们的远程教育媒体理论视野。
Media are important carriers to pass on information of distance education. In the course of dis-tance teaching practice, many kinds of media theories have come into being subsequently. The media element theory takes media as necessary common elements of culture in all activities of distance education. It holds the view that application of media is of great cultural significance in regards to distance education courses, resources and systematic construction. In this article, the au- thor has made an analysis of the media theories such as the three- element theory, the four- element theory, the five- element theory, and the multiple e- element theory. The media assistant theory regards media as being always in assistant position in distance teaching process. The basis of the theory is CAI theory in traditional education, media assistant teaching is an distance education mode in teaching with obvious features, which includes many cate- gories such as practice training, individual tutorials, imitative simulation, discovery learning, assessment and evaluation as well as game learning, etc. The media focus theory considers media as hub gear, which is a basic concept of distance ed- ucation in teaching mode. Media can be not only connection between teaching and learning in dis- tance teaching process, but also bridge to communicate activities of teaching and learning. The author expects that through analysis and comments on the three media theories in distance education, attention can be aroused to approach on media application and media theories on the part of distance education practitioners.
