Abstract This paper reported the effect of six products of processed gamboge on sedation and analgesic action. The results showed that the other five products of processed gamboge showed evident analgesic effect except the gamboge processed with goat blood. Exclusive of boiled gamboge. the other products of processed gamboge showed obvious sedation. and this action of gamboge steamed underhigh pressure was the strongest.
