An Introduction to VocabProfile in ELT

摘要本文介绍了文本词汇分析软件VocabProfile的原理和基本操作方法,并通过分析一篇非英语专业大二学生的习作展示了该软件在词汇分析方面的强大功能.本文认为VocabProfile软件对于英语教学具有重要意义,应引起国内学界的进一步重视. This paper introduces the rationale and the basic operating approaches of VocabProfile, a software of text vocabulary analysis. An essay of a sophomore non-English major is analyzed by VocabProfile to demonstrate its vocabulary analyzing power. This paper acknowledges the pedagogical implications of VocabProfile in ELT and argues that it deserves more attention at domestic study.
