《红楼梦》深受楚文化影响。黛玉形象的构思及其神貌风韵,均采自《山鬼》、《湘君》、《湘夫人》。她身上又依稀可见屈原的影子:自恋情结浓重,孤芳自赏又顾影自怜;不为俗屈、高洁自守。宝玉的女儿崇拜与屈辞中女性中心观有渊源关系,其坚定的叛逆性又与屈原九死不悔的坚韧相似。宝玉身上还有庄子影子,其天然本色论、"情不情"分别是庄子自然论、齐物论的显示。其梦游太虚境受《神女赋》启发。曹雪芹自身遭遇、以悲为美的审美趣味、小说题材及人物命运悲剧性,使他和楚文化尚悲的情感特征产生共鸣,从而把楚文化作为构建《红楼梦》的文化基石之一。
The Chu culture has a bearing on Dreams in Red Mansions . The figure of Daiyu comes from Shangui, Xiangjun and Xiang Furen , meanwhile reflects the personality of Qu Yuan , namely being pure and persistent and attaching importance to herself. Baoyu's gynaeolatry originated from Quyuan's famine centrality point of view; in addition Chuangtse's views such as the theory of nature and looking something as himself are reflected in Baoyu. The living circumstance, artistic interest, the content of the novel and the fates of the figures were the factors that made Cao Xueqin resonate with the culture of Chu, in a word Chu culture is the important cultural foundation in creating Dreams in Red Mansions .
