摘要
人为什么要保护自然?我们保护环境究竟是“对人的义务”还是“对自然的义务”?本文分析了这两种义务观的代表人物帕斯莫尔和罗尔斯顿的理论,并对他们理论的核心概念“保全”、“保存”、“对自然的支配”和自然的“内在价值”进行了考证,在此基础上提出人对自然义务的伦理根据仍然是人的利益。
Why must we protect nature? Is environmental protection“obligation to nature”or“obligation to man”?This paper addresses the theories of two representatives,namely John Passmore and Holmes Rolston Ⅲ,who insist on man's obligation to nature.Besides,the paper analyzes the key concepts in their theories of“conservation of nature”,“preservation of nature”, “mastery over nature”and“intrinsic value of nature”.On the basis of such analysis,the author concludes that the ethical basis of man's obligation to nature is still human welfare.
