摘要 RedhatLinux6.0支持Ramdisk虚拟机制,它可以将主存的一部分虚拟成硬盘分区,使原来对硬盘的操作转移到内存中。文中介绍了基于Ramdisk,将整个Linux操作系统全部运行于内存中的方案及其实现方法,对这种全内存式Linux的系统性能进行了详细的测试与评估,给出了一些可能的应用。新系统以大内存换取高性能,提高了Web服务器在数据读写、响应速度等方面的目标要求。 System supports a virtual mechanism named Ramdisk in Redhat Linux version 6.0, which allocates a portion of main memory to use as a partition. This mechanism also makes that the operation of accessing harddisk to move into main memory. In this paper, design and implementation of full RAM Linux system based on Ramdisk technology is introduced, a measurement and assessment to whole new RAM Linux system is done in detail, some possible applications are listed too. New system got the performance by using large main memory, improved the capacity of Web server in aspects of data transferring and response time.
