摘要
本文根据忠实通顺的翻译标准,从翻译工作者必备的五个基本条件入手,对2004年全国卫生类职称英语考试用书中的部分错译进行剖析。用该书大量的译例,通过原译与改译对照,分析错译的根源,并与该书的编译者进行商榷。最后指出全国权威机构编写和出版书刊中乱译之风的严重性与危害性。
On the basis of the translation criteria of truth and coherence,and the five basic qualifications needed by translators,this paper analyzes a part of wrong versions in English Book(Hygiene) for the examination of technical and professional titles in 2004,and seeks the roots of wrong versions to discuss with the editors and translators of the book by means of contrasting a lot of versions in the book with those corrected by the author.Finally it points out the serious consequences and harmfulness caused by the style of reckless translating in the books and periodicals compiled and published by authoritative sources in our country.\;
