中低品位膨润土的有机化及在泥浆中的应用 被引量:5

Preparation and characterization of organo-bentonite from low-tomedium-grade clay and its application in oil mud for drilling

摘要 以新疆乌兰陵格产中低品位钠基膨润土为原料,用十六烷基三甲基铵盐(氯化物D1631和溴化物CTAB)作插层剂,制备有机膨润土。通过实验确定了制备有机膨润土的季铵盐加入量是85~90mmol/100g土。用红外(FTIR)、X-衍射(XRD)和扫描电镜(SEM)表征了有机土结构。FTIR谱显示有机插层剂已进入膨润土的层间,XRD特征峰位移表明膨润土的层间距由1.23nm增加到3.26nm。SEM观察到有机土形貌显著改变,颗粒松散。结果表明膨润土的层间距增大,粒层厚度约为72nm左右。测试了有机膨润土的钻井油基泥浆性能,结果表明,其塑性粘度为7.0mPa·s,表观粘度为8.5mPa·s,动切力为1.5Pa,滤失量40.0mL,均已达到钻井液用有机土的质量指标要求。 Organo-bentonite was prepared by ion exchange of a local low to medium grade sodium type bentonite with hexadecyltrimethylammonium (HDTMA) chloride (D1631) and bromide (CTAB). The optimum ratio of HDTMA to bentonite was 85~90 mmole per 100g bentonite. The structures and morphology of the organo-bentonite were characterized by fourier-transformed infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scan electron microscopy (SEM). FTIR scan showed that the HDTMA was intercalated into the silicate crystal layers of the clay. Increase in the spacing between the adjacent silicates layers from 1.23 nm to 3.26 nm were determined by XRD.It was observed by SEM that the organo-clay was less compact in comparison with the original samples, and the dimensional scale of the clay particles were dropped into the nano-level, it was suggested that the spacing of layers reaced about 72 nm. Consequently, the organo-clay was applied in the preparation of oil based drilling mud and the organobentonite was used in petroleum drilling. It was showed that plastic viscosity was 7.0 mPa·s, apparent viscosity was 8.5 mPa·s,yield point was 1.5Pa, filtrate loss was 40.0 mL, organobentonite basically was up to the drilling quality index, and showed good to excellent performance in all compulsory test items of the SY/ZQ 003-89 code.
