n HPLC system is developed which allows the separation and quantitative analysis of amino acidsderivatives with phenyl isothiocyanate(PITC )·These phenyIthiocarbamyl(PTC )amino acids from preco-lumn derivatization were separated with Zorbax ODS,250×4. 6mm i.d.,5μm,and were detected by UVabsorption at 254nm,The detection and quantitation in the range of 50～500 pmol of all 20 amino acids wereperformed with this method.
