摘要
以两种差别很大的聚苯乙烯粒子作种子,进行水相内苯乙烯无皂乳液聚合反应实验,发现新粒子的生成仅限于反应开始阶段,三种粒子(大种子、小种子、新粒子)平均直径之差以及每种粒子关于其平均直径的标准偏差在反应过程中基本保持不变,说明不同大小的粒子在相同反应条件下的生长速率与粒子表面积成正比.
The surfactant-free cmulsion polymerization of styrene has been stydied in the presence of seed particles of two greatly different sizes. New polystyrene Particles were, formed in the early stages of polymerization. The differences in the mean diameters between the kinds of particles(large seeds, small seeds and new particles) remained essentially constant as did the standard diviations of the diameter of each group about its mean value. This implies that the relative growth rate is controlled by the surface of particles.
