美国著名历史学家莱昂内尔·卡森评价占埃及的悠久历史和伟大文明时情不自禁地说：埃及是占国巾的古国。公元前四千至三千年间，在一个雄才大略的法老统治下，它骤然开始发出灿烂的光芒，而后它披着这占代世界中最为夺目的光辉，兴旺了将近二十七个世纪。当意大利半岛上的部落民族还在台伯河畔结草为庐的时候，埃及就已经是一个繁荣昌盛的大国了。两千年前的希腊人和罗马人看埃及就有点象我们现代人凭吊希腊和罗马的废墟。
Egypt is one of the countries that first used Pictograph.They not only pay attention to the practicability but also the elegancy of thecharacters, which they often adopt as decoration.The beginning of the strokes is always in the face of biological pattern.It is said toread the pictograph according to this rule and the above character always surpasses the bottom one.
