摘要
本文主要通过对英国十八世纪的小说家亨利·菲尔丁的小说《约瑟夫·安德鲁斯》与二十世纪的小说家詹姆斯·乔伊斯的代表作《尤利西斯》的文体分析 ,比较了现实主义小说与现代主义小说的不同文体特点。文章以叙述方式、人物刻画、时间与地点的表达为切入点 ,说明了现实主义小说“读者型文本”和现代主义小说“作者型文本”
This article tries to explain the different stylistic features of Realism and Modernism novels by comparing two representative works: Joseph Andrews and Ulysses . It focuses on narrative perspective, character depiction, and time and place representation. These different features can also be summarized as those of 'readerly text' and 'writerly text' by Roland Barthes.
