The catalytic synthesis of ethyl cinnamate with p toluene sulfonic acid, amino sulfonic acid, strongly acidic cationic exchange resin,ferric chloride hexahydrate, polyvinyl chloride ferric chloride resin,stannic chloride pentahydrate, ammonium ferric sulfate dodecahydrate,sodium bisulfate monohydrate, solid super acid and support hetero poly acid were reviewed.
