与传统单元聚合物助留系统或双元聚合物助留系统相比,微粒助留系统能提供更好的助留、滤水作用和良好的纸张匀度。文中介绍了微粒助留系统的种类、作用机理和在纸机上的应用,阐述了应用微粒助留系统的优点和选择微粒助留系统应考虑的关键因素,并通过实例证明利用实验室仪器有助于造纸工作者选择新的微粒助留系统或优化目前使用的助留系统。
The use of microparticle retention systems has become increasingly popular in the paper industry over the past two decades as these systems tend to offer significantly better retention, drainage, and formation than do conventional single or dual-polymer retention systems. In this paper, the author provides an overview of the microparticle retention systems in aspects of their types, mechanism, and applications on paper machines, followed by discussions of benefits of using microparticle systems and key factors to be considered when selecting a microparticle system for paper machines. The author also exemplifies the use of laboratory apparatuses that can help papermakers to screen various new microparticle systems or to optimize their existing retention systems.
